What is a Leather Mule?
A leather mule is a stylish, backless shoe made from genuine leather, designed for easy slip-on wear. Mules are loved for their comfort, versatility, and timeless appeal – perfect for casual days, stylish evenings, or showcasing your craftsmanship in your own product range.
What You’ll Learn
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have gained the skills to create leather mules from start to finish, including:
Moulding the shoe upper onto the last for structure and comfort
Creating and attaching the sole for durability and style
Working with stiffening materials to give your shoes a perfect hold
Tips and supplier details for sourcing leather, tools, and materials so you can make shoes at home
We do prep some of the boring bits like the cutting and sewing - BUT that being said, we will do a demonstration and explain exactly what we did so that you can do it at home - but the fun bit you will do all on your own with our help!
